Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

My broody hatched out 2 (so far) ---- I believe possibly the black chick is from my Barred Rock Hen---not sure what the yellow one is from- but I did notice the two stripes on her back--- The Rooster for both is a CCL. Wondering if the stripes would be hinting towards a pullet- Oh well--- just showing these babies off---- feel free to comment!

SO cute!!

Has anyone crossed a cream legbar (the cream legbar being the cockerel) with either a welsummer, silver laced wyandotte, or a cukoo marans? I'd be very interested in seeing any off spring from these crosses and may be tempted to do them too!

I've got some CCL roo over Welsummer in the incubator right now, only about three eggs though so fingers crossed I hatch at least one pullet from the Wellie. :)
Other crosses I have in there are CCL over Rhodebar and Blue Andalusian. I'll post pics when they hatch, and keep you posted about the ...Welbar? (Isn't that what they'd call it?)

The light one looks like a recessive white . Those are hard to sex . I think that is a cockerel .
Notice the V on the head of the one in my picture . I think that is a pullet .

I had a green egg layer roo that was the result of crossing a Cream Legbar roo with a Black Star hen (Rhode Island Red X Plymouth Barred Rock). I crossed him with some Blue Laced Red Wyandotte hens. There was a mix of characteristics but one resulting pullet was black laced red with a crest, rose comb, and she lays green eggs. I liked her so much I decided to try and make my own breed out of her and I've crossed her to a Lavender Orpington roo. Their chicks are mostly black but I'm hoping in the next generation to get Lavender Laced green egg layers with crests and rose combs.

Yes, I have made lots of sexlinks by crossing my Legbar cock on silver laced wyandottes. Here is a pic of three pullets: males: Female chicks are reddish and males are darker with a silver hue and have yellowish faces. I have also crossed CLB with Golden Cuckoo Marans not Cuckoo Marans. Here is the pic:

Thanks, they are due to hatch 4/18. I was so bummed because I smooshed one of the Welsummer eggs the other day; somehow it was poking up too far and got hit with the bator cover. There was actually a baby in it. :-( I will just have to set more if these don't hatch!
They should be autosexing I believe?
Hope you have a pip Sunday!

I am not sure if they are auto sexing or not- that is a good question :) I know the pure CCL are but not sure over the welsummer---
