Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

Maybe after a few more generations. If I get good results I'd like to send eggs to anyone who wants to try and work with them. I'd like to create a new breed but the more people raising them the better.

This is Metal, crested cream legbar X appenzellar spitzhauben. He arrived as a mystery. I order polish hatching eggs and when he popped out it was obvious that he was not a polish. The only other white egg layer the breeder had were spitzhauben so we knew that he was at least from one of those hens but after some growing it became obvious he wasn't pure. So she thought maybe he was from her ameraucana roo because there had been a mix up when the kids let the chickens out. Now that he's growing up a but more though we can both tell that he is in fact from her crested cream legbar roo. I asked a few others on an EE thread also. He is my son's favorite chicken and quite the character. Very brave and curious from the beginning, preferring to be with the older chicks. When he was introduced to the flock he took over the oldest hens as his ladies.

Couple days old, you can see the dot on his head
