Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

Yes but not as obvious as the pure crested cream legbars and it has to be the brahma rooster over CCL hen. It wont work with CCL rooster over brahma hens.
Legbars are auto sexing your combo is sex linked meaning legbars are sexable generation after generation but your cross only works on first generation.
Legbar hens have one barring gene roosters have two. They are wild type based so the cockerels two barring genes dilute the pattern and add the large head spot. The pullets one barring gene doesnt dilute her pattern as much and doesnt add the big head spot. That is why you can sex them at hatch.
Your cross will be sexable at hatch by males having a headspot but not the real diluted pattern.

Recessive

It should result with black pullets and barred cockerels. Both would probably have some leakage from the legbars pattern bleeding through.
Pullet chicks would be black and cockerel chicks black with head spot.

Howd you come up with the conclusion?
Don't forget that a lot of cream Legbar lines carry recessive white. So if this hen has it, then about half of the offspring will be white.

Very true.
Dont know how I forgot about that. That was the reason I got away from the legbars I had.
