Just an update to say at 18 weeks it's obvious they're all female like my helpers on this forum helped me predict.

here are a five Cream Legbar rooster over Barnevelder hen mix cockerels

Except the one purebred Cream Legbar center back of course Mr Photobomb

Some roosters from a Rose Comb Brown Leghorn hen bred by a Cream Legbar rooster and those cross hens bred back to a Cream Legbar rooster.

The only rose comb pullet I got to keep.

I got some "ice cream bar" hatching eggs online. No idea at all what generation, and only one hatched from my hen. I am aware feather sexing isn't really a thing under the circumstances, but any guesses on sex?

Is this chick around 2.5-3 weeks?

It could be a bit too early to tell but right around 3.5 weeks is when I start to see reddening of the comb in my Legbars and Legbar crosses, so if she's around 3.5 weeks with no reddening of her comb, she could be a pullet.

Here's a progression of one of my Legbar cross chicks, all my other cockerel's (various mixes and purebred) development was spot on with him.

8/24 hatch
9/1- no red

9/8-no red

9/17 Red cockerel comb!

This is his full sister at the same age and you can see no red. In favt she still has no red!
