Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

Does anyone know what this cockerel may be crossed with?
I think hes half legbar.

I hatched him myself from an egg that i got from a friend (she has moved away now and i've lost her number or i would call her and ask.) She also had so many different breeds i wouldnt know where to start thinking of which. His parents were probably pure, whatever breed they were. It was a pale blue egg and if he had been a hen he was to lay blue eggs, have a large red single comb and be a grey colour. He had a yellow dot on his head as a chick (the pic doesn't show it very well). I know hes very dark and a bit heavy. His legs would be more yellow if he would stay out on the grass but he only stays in the concrete yard, they used to be yellow, a few other birds are the same. He was to be a very quiet bird but i think hes just a bit more jumpy because of the way he has been raised, he wasn't handled much appart from the first week or so. Thats all i know about him.

White feet=cuckoo marans, yellow feet=barred rock.

I just hatched a batch of Welsummer eggs and thought I'd throw in two of my CL pullet eggs that were covered by me FaverollesX rooster prior to removing him and putting the Legbar boys in for the summer. Both chicks hatched. They are e(wh)/e+, S/s.

So any guesses on gender? Do y'all see white head spot? Last year I hatched some chicks with the same roo over my Welsummer hen which were also S/s and they were indistinguishable from male CL chicks (including what I thought looked like frosting on the back of the head)--but one of the crosses ended up as a girl. These should be Sexlinked since the CLs are barred and the Roo is not.

What sex are they (ie do you see a head spot)? Opinions and Guesses welcomed! I will post a progression as they mature.

Puffy Cheek, Chick 1 (this one is probably crested):

I'm a bit new at this but my guess is Chick #1 pullet slightly more colorful fuzz, Chick #2 roo. But very adorable!

How cute!!!! I love all the little Pita Pinta/Cream Legbar crosses that I have running around here! Some of them are starting to get crests. I have one cute little barred boy who is only around 5 weeks old but has a very red comb and a cute little barred crest! I also have several all black pullets with crests. They are so cute!

I'm hatching some Cream Legbar crosses. They all have a CL roo and some are a Black Copper Marans hen and the others are a Croad Langshan hen.

Will there be any way to sex them?

I have had 12 hatch so far and more pipping now.

Has anyone crossed a cream legbar rooster with a rhoadebar hen? Will the offspring be auto sexing and more importantly distinguishable from the "purebred" cream legbars? I tried to keep them separate but the rhoadbar hen would have nothing to do with that.

Hi, I need some help here. I just hatched some cream legbar eggs. Two came out black with dots on their heads so I knew those were boys. The third one came out grey/brown with some feathers on the legs, and the head also has a large white patch. The eggs I bought were light blue. I suppose the third chick has some other blood besides cream legbar but I don't know what. Is it still autosexing? Can you tell me if it's a boy or girl? Or too young to tell? Thanks.
