Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

It just so happens that tonight I have a growling Cochin on the nest and not on the roost with the others. I think I might pop some Creamsicles under her in the next day or 2. I have 3 CLx Silkie eggs saved up. Hmmm should I or shouldn't I? That is the question. Or maybe BRxBLRW female X CL male, I like those chicks too... Or CL X Spitz those are really cute chicks and sexlink. Now what to do?

Ooooh good dilemma. But I'd go with the Creamsicles. Cream Spit doesn't sound all that appetizing.

Or Leg Spit. Bar Spit? Egg Spit?

So, there are Ice Cream Bars: Isbar x CL's.

And there are SBEL's, which is CL X White Leghorn.

What other CL hybrids are there that have names?
I call Cream Legbar x Silver Laced Cochin and Silver Laced Wyandottes Emerald Sexlinks

Emerald for the green egg and sexlinks because they are.

A while back I was going to call CL x Silver Spangled Spitzhauben Sapphire Sexlinks because they would lay blue eggs and are sexlink, but I found out after Sapphires we already a thing

What color are your silkies?

So, geneticists, ff you cross a CL with a white silkie, what would you expect the chicks to look like? Would they all have the silkie feathers? White or CL color patterning? Sex linked? Does that depend on whether the CL is the roo or the hen?

I have a Blue Silkie he is covering Splash Silkie hens and also 2 Cream Legbar pullets.

The Silkie male X Cream Legbar female will produce double sexlink offspring, The first sexlink feature is the barring gene and shows up as head spot on chick down, meaning the CL female will pass her barring gene to her sons only and at hatch will have head spots. The second part of this sexlink is by skin color, A Silkie male crossed to any white skinned yellow legged female will produce sexlink by skin color. Male chicks will have white skin/yellow legs like their mother and female chicks will have black skin and legs like her Silkie father.

I am not positive on the feather color that the chicks will mature into though.
