Calling all experts! I really wanted a Welsummer, but now I am confused as to what these girls could be. I'm just a beginner so I have no idea...they all are so similar!

Crested creme legbars are barred with a poofy crest on top of their head, welbars are barred but with no crest, welsummers are not barred, so should be easy to tell apart. How old are they? Also, if you posted pics, for some reason they aren't showing up on my phone.
Try to see if you refresh and see pics now, I had to reload from my phone.

I don't have a great eye for looking at chick pics, so hopefully someone with a better eye will soon come along. But I see no crests, so I think you can safely rule Cream Legbar out. I have both Welsummers and Welbars, but can't remember their difference in appearance at comparable age to your chicks. I am leaning toward Welsummer, but will watch and see what other input you get.🙂

Does your welbar lay speckled eggs?

No speckles like the welsummer eggs, and the welsummer eggs are darker brown and larger. But 2 of the welbars lay eggs with a bloom that makes them appear purple, one lays lilac purple and the other a darker purple. The lighting in the photo below doesn't capture the true color, but egg customers notice immediately and ooh and ah over the purple eggs. Both breeds have similiar friendly sweet temperments, but I think the welbars are a more beautiful feather pattern/color. I love both the breeds, and will purchase both again.
