Cream Legbars

My cream legbar is fiercely independent but docile. She free ranges alone all the time and cares not.

This describes our pullet well. She almost exists in her own world outside the pecking order. She isn't intimidated by larger hens but also doesn't show any interest in dominating hens lower in the order. She just does her own thing, quite happily.

Our baby legbars seem similar. They're not as docile as their Orpington and Marans brooder buddies but seem quite content.
 
We were able to get a few more cream legbars. Just hatchery stock so we'll see. Here's a photo of the little roo. Curious to see how he turns out.

Here is the end of my legbar flock, and only half cream legbar at that! I re-homed my entire flock, but kept this cross fella. The mother was a full cream legbar hen, daddy was a splash bantam cochin! :lol:
He is going to make a fine Yard Master! I think he is rather cool looking.
