Cream Legbars

@ lawatt, could Amelia be one of the CLB x olive egger projects?
may very well be, I just dont see a pea comb on her(OE usually have them, except when a CL are used).. I cant think of a Dark Brown egg breed that carry the Pattern gene... Black Copper Marans dont have it, Welsummer dont have it, penedesenca sure dont have it

I looked on there web page and they do have Olive Eggers
Olive Eggers (Cream Legbar X Penedesenca)
let me take a look and see what bird may be its parent

Ok.. seems she is coming from the Crele laced project, project birds tend to be heterozygotes, thats why she is missing the barring gene...

I don't know, she was supposed to be a CL -- I've sent Deann a note, will see what she says...

edit: she just wrote back, and thinks it probably is one of the cream legbar x olive egger project birds, must have gotten mixed up in the hatch (she says the chicks look almost identical) -- and has kindly offered to refund my money or to give me a replacement CL -- so we'll sort it out!

thanks for all the input here, folks!

Great color chart!!!

My CLs are too young to lay but I had to play with the chart, so unloaded all the eggs from the fridge to some good natural light.

Easter eggers: oac81, oac102, oac122
Silkies: oac815, oac816
ISA Brown: oac728
SIlver laced Wyandotte, Buff Orpington: oac764, oac 765

My dream blues for my CLs, way down the road (ever?): oac212, 213, 214, 234, 254.

FWIW, looking at the chart as a whole, my eyes put the division between greens and blues with blues starting at 177. I'd like to hear how others' eyes see it.

I'd love another CL, am just concerned how easily she'll integrate into my flock as a loner -- have asked Deann if she has any other pullets (of whatever breed) who are about the same age, so they'd have a buddy? i've got three 9-11 week old pullets who hang out together, and 7 big girls who are ~22 weeks (who totally pick on the littler ones), but they all live together in one big coop...
