Cream Legbars

I'm 99% positive this is a girl but wanted to confirm. In person, her coloring isn't quite as vivid of a brown as some others I've had. And she just hatched , I think her fuzz is just funny still but kinda looked like a teeny spot on her head.
Any input would be appreciated greatly

She is a pullet.

Brady Puhi, is your girl actually laced? Or are the feathers barred, if you hold one in your hand? Your girl looks properly barred to me, but of course I can't see her feathers up close. Many of the hens and pullets in the USA from the first two lines imported are lacking barring in their back, wings, and tails.

Looking at the hen more it almost looks like not lacing per se or barring but almost like all the feathers are tipped in black or dark gray..

Aloha,

Thanks for your opinions. I need to grow out some more boys. I just had to kill a 2 month old one because he started to crow already. Early crowing is a definite cull for me. But I just hatched 9 chicks. 8 male and 1 female. Just great!

Iʻll check on the wings and pull a feather mabe.

Hi,

Because I live in a residential neighborhood and I can only keep 2 at my uncleʻs house. I donʻt know if itʻs hereditary but I just canʻt keep them. I often use a rooster collar and can keep them quiet until they get so mature that they canʻt handle it anymore and start crowing away. I actually have one mature rooster who hardly crows and lives with the ladies. But heʻs been crowing more lately, sooooo.........
Heʻs not very fertile anyways methinks.

Wouldnʻt it be nice if we could selectively breed out crowing. Some people like it but I prefer to sleep until the sun comes up.

Aloha, puhi
