Ralphie and I have earlier lines, as I understand Jill Rees lines look a little different, but I'm still gonna bet that it's a girl.

I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that it's a girl.

. How did you get that color saturation? Mine are blue, but that looks like a deeper color.

My first hatching adventure gave me one cream legbar. I am thinking girl based on everything I've read and on my own desperate hopes! Would you mind weighing in? I'm pretty sure, but you are the experts! Is Bumblebee a pullet?

Hooray! Thanks, everyone! I watched that egg for 21 days hoping and praying for a little blue egg laying pullet! I had 3 CL eggs to begin with, but two were not fertile, so I was reaaaaaalllllyyyyy hoping! And when she hatched, my husband and I kept looking at her wet little down saying, "I think she's chipmunky!" "Doesn't she look chipmunky to you?" So I'm over the moon. Thanks for weighing in and for the kind words. I feel very lucky!

Glad I found this thread! I have a CCL, and love her, but I feel she is nowhere near breed standard. What would be a "perfect" one? Pics are apreciated! She is just starting her first 'grownup'molt, as we hit winter before she lost her juvenile feathers last year.

She has a lot of melanization (too much dark lacing) on her breast feathers. Her crest is too small(she has one, right?) Nice yellow legs, bright white on the earlobes, good soft Barring on underfluff. Hard to see, is her tail wry or just standing wierd? I like how her wings are nicely tucked and her carriage in picture 2, except the (wry?) tail and too small crest.
