Creating Experimental Black Crele Chickens (Different Genetics, new variety)

Um because that's what barring is.
Barring turns off the coloring in bars. You get a section of color then a section of no color then color then no color etc etc.
When a rooster is double factored it turns off color longer so you end up with more non colored sections then colored. That's why female barred rocks look darker then male barred rocks. The hens retain more black while the rooster gets more non color appearing overall lighter.
Other things can effect the barring effect such as fast feathering vs slow feathering. Also so just have sloppy barring so breeders can breed towards better barring.
These two feathered out at the same speed.

And?
What point are you trying to make?
That they feathered at the same rate but the barring is different? or?

Side question about that though.
How does your wing feather sexing work then?
Wing sexing is by feathering rate but you have a pullet and cockerel there that you say feathered at the same rate.
Sorry but I'm always gonna bust your chops on that wing sexing random mixed breed chicks. :)

I originally sexed the roo as a pullet, because I over looked some detail. They feathered at the sametime, but there's differences with feather shape at two days after hatch. The rest I sexed correctly, plus I'm self trained.

The chick is a pullet. The silver gene is more dominant then the gold gene, so the buff won't show. Does that make more sense to you now?
This is incorrect. Silver is not dominant over gold. They are sexed linked genes, not autosomal. Hens either are SILVER or GOLD. Males are one or both. Therefore, your pullet who is SILVER cannot be gold/buff. She does not have buff in her genetics.

She has buff Orpington in her genetics.
