Those Silkie chickens are nothing better than swiffers, imo. That's my opinion on the breed as a whole, not just yours.
From what I know of the SOP of Silkies, your father/daughter pair wouldn't place if at all and your so called 'show quality' Silkies would get a 4th at best. So yeah, they could use improvement.
