Creating Experimental Black Crele Chickens (Different Genetics, new variety)

Here are a couple project chicks I'm planning to sell at the TSC Animal Swap next month. They're about 8-9 weeks old now.

The one on the right is a Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Buff Orpington cross.

The one on the left is a Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Australorp.

Behind is the Porcelain D'Uccle X white Silkie cross.

Pullets originally, the Buff Orpington crosses I over looked some detail again when sexing, they turned out to be roosters. I do pretty well, I just make mistakes from time to time.

The Porcelain D'Uccle X White silkie cross is still looking like a pullet.

The top of the silkie's head was just a start, the silkie is going to be tie dye.

It doesn't hurt the chicken. She actually enjoys getting colored, she almost fell asleep a couple times during the dyeing process.

Here's one of my bantam silkies compared to my standard sized silkies. There's a clear difference.

They're all around 13-14 weeks of age.
