Its good to know you are happy with the chicken, it looks very sweet. You may want to mention it to the person "breeding" Cream Legbar so she is aware also.

I wish you luck and I do hope its a pullet, but Im still leaning towards cockerel.

Wow... I sure hope it is not a cockerel I just got rid of 4 roosters. I want Niles to be my only rooster.

Pam told me I posted wrong male that this one is the father

She said when they were babies they sexed them by coloring
This male also, though he looks to be a Cream Legbar, has fully RED earlobes (white with red leakage is common) but not entirely red lobes. I might be wrong but I an willing to venture a guess that these are either poorly bred CL or they are mixed with something. The male looks to be more like a Welbar. I hope someone else will chime in with their opinions.

I would just hate for you to have gotten "taken" on these, since you made a trade of 4 hens for this one young "supposed pure" Cream Legbar.

OK, since no one else has said it........

I suspect Pam may be the one who got "taken". My gut feeling is Pam does not realize that she was probably sold someone's culls.......

And when the chicks 'appeared' to be sexable at hatch, she probably thought she really was trading a young pullet for the 4 hens.

To solve the mystery, we need to know where Pam got her legbars.

Just my opinion.......
