my BFF's dad has that in his lungs...its really sad and he has to be on steroids...cud u give me some more info on this i really want to help out my friend.
I had it in my lungs and heart and was arthritic in most of my joints because of it. I went to a nutritionist and told her my theory that this autoimmune disease is basically an immune system out of wack, getting it balanced through vitamins might help. I increased zinc especially, but took all kinds of different vitamins and eliminated processed food. I, also, did my best to cut down on stress.
I found that my symptoms were relieved when I took the vitamins, but, came back if I missed a day or two.
After 2 years, I was given a clean bill of health. I still avoid as much stress as possible and try to take vitamins regularly. If I get a cold, I up my zinc for awhile to boost my immune system.
Sarcoidosis can go into remission spontaneously so I can't be sure that boosting my nutrition was the key.
Good luck,
Dale-Ann
