I have standard Salmon Faverolles They has been just great on the personality and laying The roos are really gentle and wouldnt even think about attacking a human They are some of the prettiest birds I have Hard to believe they are on the list
I have several standard chickens of the breeds listed, but no pairs. I have an Aseel hen, Russian Orloff hen, 2 sumatra hens, and up until 4 days ago a buttercup hen (succumbed to neighbor's dog) that are all laying, but my rooster for all is a White faced black spanish so all the eggs have been going to make omelets.
Though most major hatcheries do Partridge Rocks, try finding an APA Heritage standard flock over 30 birds. So far in a year I've found one. Because of the hatcheries they may never make the list but they're going downhill fast.
I wouldn't mind Delawares eventually. But you have to be carefully about the murky quality of some of the hatchery supply and some of the egg sellers. Know who you are buying from and what the parents look like. I've seen some from sources that look more like bad buff brahmas.
I just set some Nankin eggs last night. 5 under a broody Silkie and 6 in the incubator. It was interesting to find that they were one of the breeds that they have in Colonial Williamsburg as they believe they were raised in the colonies. Hope I get some to hatch. Here's a link to the breed club that was just founded in 2006. http://www.nankinbantams.com/
