Thanks for the welcome, ladies. I didn't see all your posts and forgot where I had been!! (Tell me that is not a "sign"!!!)

I haven't gotten to the pecans yet. I always collected in the fall so I was pleasantly surprised to get them now. My neighbor even showed me a gadget ($10) to easily shell them. I've always used the grippers my mother gave me.

It's so nice to find like-minded people. City folks look at me like I'm crazy. Personally, I don't make fun of them when they don't know where bacon comes from. lau.

I want to do some flannel baby blankets with the crocheted edges. I want to use sport yarn and not the thread. I saw these in a pattern book at micheals but they wanted 24.95 for the book.

Anyone know a good site to get different borders?

I get it too. My dh made those 5 gal. bucket nesting boxes and we added them to the coop. They are on top of the wooden nesting boxes but so far the hens just use the 5 gal. buckets. I like them up higher as I don't have to bend over. LOL I emailed you algo

I've got a subscription too thanks to a great christmas present. I should really sit down and read them cover to cover. I've gotten 2 so far in the subscription.

Little squirrel is doing well, but making me feel decidedly like I need to be close to the bathroom.

Glad to hear the crane seems to have moved on and congrats on your schedule that is so cool, SE!

Just got the email Ozark

I don't think the issue I have had anything in there about the 5gal. buckets. Going to go find my issue. I said I got it today but that was wrong, I got the bill if I want to keep getting it today. The one I have is an introduction.

Hello everyone

We went today and picked up 18 pallets from someone off free cycle and 1 of those spool things... going to use it for a seat by the coop. Dh is going to pick up more pallets and spools Friday

We will be building our 1st coop in the next month or so...
