Oh good now I know it wasn't just me having some trouble with the site . I was beginning to think it was my internet connection or something. Sure hope things are ok with SK.

Well I am glad somebody gets to go out and enjoy the weather

. While I am stuck in a downstairs basement office.

No window for sunshine, or fresh air

. I have a B&W monitor for the outside camera so I can tell if it is raining, snowing or sun hiding.

That's mine 9-5 M-F window to the world

Now is it just me or are the smiles doing double duty?

I heard from skand, electricity was shut off at their house and something something...they don't have the computer set up at the airstream yet or something. All she has is her phone which she says sucks. And my message from her was brief so I am not sure I got all the right inferences in there.
So keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

LOL lovemychix! That's what I have been thinking. I will find it when the afghan is done or something ^_^ I always try to take things with me and put them up when I move about so the kids don't suceed at their search and destroy mission, but it doesn't work that way most of the time. I usually forget.

I can go get a hook if I have to ris, but thank you!!!

oh ha ha GREAT news I found the needles!! A little ironic, but great. Now I guess I will sew the eyes onto the chickens. I wonder if I should just use felt?

Hello everyone
We went today and picked up 18 pallets from someone off free cycle and 1 of those spool things... going to use it for a seat by the coop. Dh is going to pick up more pallets and spools Friday We will be building our 1st coop in the next month or so...

I LOVE the recycle!!! Great idea!! Seems someone on one of the coop thread made a coop out of pallet wood...not the coop thread that you have to have measurements and all for but one my own coop is on I think, an old thread, seems it looked like a shed with a door, they did a good job on it if I remember right.

I wish Skand and Hippie Jim would just move to Maine already, those kids will adjust in a new school, I was a miliatry brat and moved in the middle of the school year hundreds of times, makes you more social, they'll be fine, this lingering around without one parent while eerything they know is falling apart is much, much worse on them trauma wise, they'll be so parent clingy they wont be able to peel them off! Get that silver bullet rollin!!!!

6 squares on the purple afghan now hooked together...looking very girly and pretty!! Also have several squares and hexagons done too, just in case you thought I was ignoring the swap, lol!!

Wow Chuck, sounds awesome with the mini farm..goes well with the mini pins!!! Hope that works out!!!! Hope castle scoot happens too!! Later ya'll!!

let her know we're thinking of her. Gosh, sounds like it's "moving season". I think I'm glad that's not contagious - I wouldn't want to have to move all my junk right now!
Okie, I've found a great way to keep up with my hooks. I have a zippered pencil case - the kind that kids can keep in their notebooks - that I keep all my hooks & my little scissors in. That way, nothing gets lost! Of course, I don't have any little hands to help my stuff walk off, either. {Thank you, God, that my kids are grown!}
I know I've missed lots, hopefully I'll have time this evening to go back & read everything. For now, gotta get back to work.

Well I'll never catch up with all the post so just here to say hope all is well with everyone. I'm working hard on afghans and gardening. I already have strawberry blossoms!! YEAH!

And all the fruit trees are in bloom. It really looks springy here!
Our friends in VA say they don't think spring will ever get there!

We are actually having a decent day weather wise...in the middle 40's right now. Better than the sub zero temp.'s and record snow fall we had this year.

Okie...you got big babies! My first one had to be taken early by a month...and was 4.1 lbs. My next one was full term and was 6. something pounds. Same as me when my mom had me. Mom had tiny babies too.
