Crochet "Chat"

There are some very good instructional videos out there. Back when I learned how to crochet there was only books and someone to show me. For a time there was a learn to knit or crochet on the PBS station and if you could record it you could play it over and over.

Glad you liked them. My mother made the bread. Never shipped food like that befor. Hope it got to you ok. I bought the soap from another BYC member. (forgot her name) I tried to wrap the soap and bread in enough plastic that the soap scent didn't ruin the bread.

Hi everyone.....hope all had a Merry Christmas. I did. DH gave me a pearl necklace and we had a lovely time visiting family. I played with my 8 month old grandson, Owen. He is such a pleasure and sooooo good. My 10 year old grandson was fun also. He went to baseball camp last month and Aaron Hill, a friend of my son in law, and plays for the Toronto Blue Jays signed everything that Preston was wearing as well as his bat, ball, and glove so now my daughter has to buy him all new stuff because he doesn't want to mess up the signatures. My daughter will be here with both children for a few days before she goes back to class. She teaches 5th gr. I can hardly wait. Have to get the tree down though as Owen will get into it. It was 22 this morning when I woke up and the hose was froze so am waiting for it to thaw so I can water my chickens. Hope all is well with everyone.

Greetings everyone from Smitty's!

I haven't been on the site for ages and really miss it. I have so many crochet projects started (as usual) that I really need to focus, pick them back up and finish. This time of the year I always get the itch to want to crochet. Maybe now that Christmas is over with I can finally have the time to sit still to do a little.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!

Hi Kim.

This is my favorite time of year to sit and crochet away. And, yes, I had a lovely Christmas. How bout you?

Tammy

Good Morning Everyone...

This is my favorite time of year to sit and crochet away.

Mine too! After I bake some gumpsgirl bread (for dinner tonight) I'm going to snuggle up on the couch with some yarn and a movie

Kids are still off school, Ds13 and Ds10 are at their memaw/papaws for the week (been there since Sat.) so its just Dd15 and Dnephew16 Nice and quiet in the house... nice break, no fighting. But it wont last when the other 2 come back home! So I'd better enjoy it while I can

Hope everyone has a nice day

Hello!

Tammy yes, I had a lovely Christmas. My DD is 16 yrs old now, so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to do Santa. We had a very relaxing day and didn't even exchange our gifts until the afternoon. We hosted X-mas for hubby's family on Sat and we have friends in from out of town now staying with us. We have more friends from out of town coming over this afternoon for a visit. So good to see good friends. Just a little busy cleaning between rounds of celebrating.

Oh yea....this is my favorite time of yr to just sit by the fire, relax and crochet also. I bought some lovely multi colored yarn last month and started making granny squares with it and can't wait to pick it back up. The yarn reminds me of tie dye. Hopefully one night this week I can relax and get back to it.

Jen have a relaxing time crocheting and watching your movie. What are you going to work on?

Ok, need to clean for the next round of visitors. LOL!!! Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Well... I havent got around to crocheting yet

started making gumpsgirl bread, did 4 loafs, plus washing lots of dishes, taking hanky doodle out every 30ish mins. (the puppy)... now I'm working on dinner, homemade spaghetti sauce, need to go collect eggs... but when I get around to crocheting I'll be working on another scarf and hat...
Gosh the day is flying by!
