What lovely work. All those blankets. I know a lot of hours went into them because I made 5 adult size afghans this past year. Two went to my DH's 93 and 97 year old sisters. The 97 year old is in a home now in KS and stays cold all the time. She can't see it poor dear as she has lost her sight but she knows she is under a blanket of love. The other sister can't believe someone would make hesomething and is still bragging on it. Another went to my grandson and his new wife as a wedding present. They thanked me since it's been so cold in FL and hs stationed in Jacksonville. Another went to a grandson in NC and the other to my daughter in WA. This year as I make something it will be put away for a gift but plan on taking photos of what I make. I don't have little ones at home anymore so when I come home from work I can sit and relax and crochet or I do it while watching TV. My DH is also a Mason and I often sit and wait on him while he's in his meeting with the other wives and we crochet then also. I'm now crocheting the scrubbies using netting as well as a baby afghan. All of you just beginning, don't give up after mistakes. They can be unraveled and started over and all of us that have been crocheting for years still make mistakes. It's nice to know that new skills are being learned by the younger set and they're not dieing out. All of you keep up the good work.

Has anyone every had any luck selling any thing they make? Im looking for some way to make my hobbies pay for themselves a little. I love doing scarfs and baby blankets. I was thinking of trying cragslist or esty. I want to make extra ones to give to benefits for people in the area to. But that means i have to buy yarn. I hate spending money. Any ideas?

PM me with your zipcode and I will see if I can help.

Our chapter accepts preemie to twin size bed.

Please take this into consideration. Not everyone is blessed with a live birth. Tragedy happens. You would be amazed at the reaction families have when they know that someone cared enough to give their child a blanket. It gives them something to hold onto when they are unable to hold their precious child.

and brought tears to my eyes.

I bet her smile brightens your day and makes your heart explode!

I need some advice. I absolutely despise knitting. can't stand to do it, can't understand it, can't get the hang of it. but I really want to be able to make cables. so I wanted to know if any of you know how to do cables in crochet. any help would be much appreciated. otherwise (and I might just do this anyway) I'll give knitting another shot.

We got 30 of our skeins of yarn today!! The hooks aren't here yet though lol! They included some free yarn with our project that is really weird, I'll try and get pics of it tomorrow but I don't know what we would use it for, certainly not babies, it's rough and just odd looking.

Hmm... I knit as well. I would think you could use front and back post stitches. I've never made cables but i've gotten a good look at a bunch. If you have any scrap yarn use SC and try those.

Hello Ladies,
Its been a long while since I've been on here. A lot of personal things and I don't want to bore you! lol

However, I got a Christmas box from the Christmas swap we were doing and I signed up for it. I still remember who was to receive a box from me but I haven't been able to mail it yet. Would the creator of the swap please PM me so I can get the info on who my box is suppose to go too! I am sorry for how late it is...
