Tell your daughter we said "Happy Birthday"!

I am making a shoulder wrap for my granddaughter right now. It's more for dress up than to keep her warm. I'll post a pic when it's done.

SunnyDawn~ Thanks for the B-day wishes. I passed them along to DD and she also says THANKS!!!! Now, you do not look old enough to have a granddaughter! Yes, please post a pic of the shoulder wrap. I bet she will love it!

Actually I have 4 granddaughters and our oldest daughter was 28 before she had the first! That picture just hides all the wrinkles in the laugh lines.

Really DH and I both have very oily skin and the payoff for having to deal with acne for way too many years is that now niether of us looks our age.

Hi Elizabeth!

Welcome back! I just post here for the first time in a really long time myself. Are you working on any special projects?

SunnyDawn~ You are so funny. You need to let me know what facial products you are using. I think DD had a nice B-day. We had awesome fall like weather last weekend. She had a small group of her friends spend the night on Sun night. They built a fire and hung outside on the patio, made foil bag dinners and slept outside in a tent.

WriterofWords~ What kind of projects are your talented students working on now that your club has started back.

baustin~ I did a little crocheting at the beginning of the summer. I started making DD a light weight afghan w/ Lily's Sugar & Cream cotton (Vintage Twist) yarn. I think I mis-measured it when I started it and made it so wide, so it is going to take me forever to finish. I know it will be worth it in the long run, since cotton does shrink.

Hey Jen! How long does it take you to finish a ripple?

I started re-organizing my yarn stash again. It was every where. I have a big woven basket in the corner of my living room that I like to keep my unfinished projects in, so I can grab one and work on it, but all kinds of bags of yarn had kept into it and it was sooo over flowing and taking over the whole corner. Plus I had a ton in my canvas bag that I like to carry projects in. I finally got all my extra yarn stash back in the plastic totes tucked away in a spare bedroom closet and my basket in the corner still looks over flowing.

I guess you could call this a special project I have been "working on" lol My husband and I have been trying and finally got a positive on the preggers test! That is about all I have had on my mind lately and also how I am going to get my 3yo to adjust when "she" gets here. I am only 10 weeks so I am just saying she cuz it would be nice to have one of each.

Jen that ripple looks really nice. You always make such pretty things. Still not learned how to do the ripple but maybe one day....

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is very exciting news! Now it's time to start crocheting some of those cute little baby doll looking baby clothes, like the cute ones that Red has posted.

Yeah I need to figure out how to make some of those cute baby booties. I can only make blankets but never learned how to make the cute stuff.

Yea, same here. I never have made any baby items either. They are all so cute and adorable. I've always wanted to. I'm so bad about finishing projects too. I started a blanket for my daughter when I was preggo w/ a pastel multi colored yarn b/c it was before I knew what sex she was, then I set it down and didn't pick it back up until she was almost 2 yrs old. I ended up making it longer, so it could be more of a toddler blanket. she loves it and still uses it today.

Congratulations!!!!! That's awesome! Baby stuff is easy to make and, even with lightweight yarn/thread, the projects go fast cause they are so small! Baby booties are especially fast and soooooooo cute!!!

Smitty's Farm you are so sweet! Seriously, little pics hide a lot of flaws (and I earned every last one of 'em). Um, no facial products, just warm water and a terry washcloth.

I'm a terrible capitalist. I just don't buy into all these miracle beauty products. It's mostly genetics and diet (my diet is terrible though but maybe that's my secret

Hi chicmom! Welcome to the crochet thread!

Writer of words I've sent you a letter. Keep your eyes peeled. I really need to get rid of extra yarn again but with shipping costs so high on packages... Oh well, maybe I'll find a school based project like your's here soon.
