There are some nice patterns on your site! Thanks for the link. I'm looking for some vintage patterns for clothes. Especially children's clothes. Anybody have a source for those?

Thank you!

I have some of those pattern books. I inherited some old timey ones from my first husbands aunt and they date back to the late 40's, early 50's. I've made some of the doilies and tablecloths from them. I love pineapples also.

Anyone have simple beginner patterns they can link me to? I learned from my grandma but didn't really pay attention so started teaching myself again yesterday. Doing single stitch I made a hat, but it's tight, should have made it bigger and it's nto the best color for a hat, just clearance yarn

It's definitely a fun hobby, but I don't need more blankets.

Leah, an easy way to make a hat bigger is to use a larger needle. Just go up a size or two from the one you just used.

All of the yarn companies have free patterns online on their websites. A great place is ravelry.com. Just type in the words "easy crochet free".

I've gotten 2 hats done. I have to redo a couple of times to adjust because I was sloppy with tension

No good pics, but thought I'd share

The first one, a little sloppy, but okay.

This is the second one I made, like the color a lot better

Thank you, hopefully the first meeting will be Aug 11 and the students from last year will help the new ones,,, the ones left anyway, the majority went on to 7th grade. I want them to start planning for the Fair and choosing simple projects to do.
