Hey Erin! I haven't been crocheting and instead I've been quilting. DH has a new great granddaughter so am making her a quilt. I found some blue crochet cotton the other day that I had forgotten about. It's bedspread weight but think I'll make a dresser scarf or doilies for my dresser. My bedroom is done in blue since it's decorated with lighthouses and sailing ships so it would be the right color. I finished my last afghan before it got hot for DH's niece to thank her for the care she gives DH's 98 year old sister. We are so far away we can't be much help. I've about made all my grandchildren an afghan I think.

Hahahaha! I can Totally relate to this! LOL!!
I've been trying to finish up a Huge afghan (gets TOO hot!), work on another that I'm designing for a friend, started yet another for another friend and Really need to pull out my knitting needles and finish up another Huge one for yet another friend! LOL!
THEN, I can start on a cardigan for myself! YAY!
That's one of the reasons I'm not crocheting right now.....the heat.....it's 7:15 CA time and it's still 105 outside. I haven't been out to the chickens yet to get eggs. I'm waiting for it to cool. Thank heavens for the shade cloth over the runs.
It sure is. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse since there is moisture moving in and it will raise the humidity. In the desert here it's not unusual for it to go to 118-120 but there usually isn't much humidity. I'll be spraying the ladies off and on during the day and there is always plenty of water for them.
Yikes!!! I hate heat give me snow anyday. Heres what i done so far. Its a matching hat, booties and baby afghan set. I"ve been trying to sell it with no luck. I"ll probaly just gift it. I had been hopeing to have a little online shop but not looking like it now.
Welcome Gretchen. You do keep busy don't you? I do everything, knit, crochet, sew, quilt and crosstitch. I think crocheting and quilting are my favorites but I fit the others in. I make a lot of my gifts. With 9 children and 34 grands between hubby and I and he has two greatgrands making gifts makes more sense.
