That is excellent!!! That is way better than what my poor little first warped granny square looked like.

She is doing great! The stitches look great to me. I bet the next try she'll get it to 6 ". Do you only have the H hook size to work with? I think she is doing fantastic! Please pass along my praise!

Very cool!!! Too bad we don't all live closer so we can sit around in a circle crocheting together.

Awwww, I would love that!!! I joined a club here, in Reno, of mostly knitters but they don't seem to like to talk!

They did help me with my knitting though. However I got tired of the "frogging" and went back to crocheting.

This year we don't have as many hooks as in the past because I let the kids keep their hooks last year. I just couldn't tell them to turn them in, they use them! We have a lot of really big hooks, a couple of 4.25 and then a ton of little bitty tiny hooks you hardly see! We are slowly getting more of them, we are aiming at those multipacks at Wal Mart that have 4 hooks and little folding scissors. We will eventually have them for all the serious club members.

See if there are any fiber guilds around you and explain to the members what you are doing. They may be willing to donate some of their extra hooks. I've started an outreach ministry at church in the fiber arts and put out a plea for supplies. I am overwhelmed by the amount of yarn, knitting needles & hooks that are coming in.

There is this really cool bead shop here that I wanted to check out and when I went in they had all kind of fiber and they saw my eyes get as big as saucers oooooh-ing & awwwing over all their home spun dyed yarn and told me that they have a club as well, but mainly knitters that I was welcome to join. I haven't had time. That's too bad they don't talk much. Do you ever just want to start blurting stuff out. I'd probably be sitting there talking to myself b/c I like to talk so much. They must just be shy knitters. That's great they helped you w/ your knitting. I haven't even attempted knitting yet.

I had a feeling that's what happened. Sounds like you are slowly rebuilding your stash.
