I worked on finishing a new pattern for a hat for a friend's B-day to match wrist warmers I've already made, but it's too small. The body part is finished, but I'll go ahead and add a flower and maybe gathering the front turban style to give to a child rather than pulling it all out and starting over.
I hate to pull out finished work, but I know it has to be done sometimes. All trial and error of working on a new pattern. I'll post pic later. For now it's back to the drawing board.

Yippee! A crochet thread! Currently working on a set of lacy coasters in sz 10 crochet thread, and a bunch of washcloths in cotton worsted. Until a couple months ago, I hadn't crocheted since I was a kid ... now I am wondering why I had stopped. I am having so much doing up lacy doily-style coasters!
I almost have the first of four done using this pattern but in white-red-green for the holidays. pattern for the coaster ...newb (and re-newb) friendly, and it turns out lovely.
Hi dfr1973! Welcome to the crochet thread and thanks for the link.
Very cute doily you have there.
I'm still trying to finish that baby blanket that I posted pics of months ago. Life keeps interrupting but I am determined to finish it before christmas!
I was too frustrated to give the new pattern another whirl, so decided to do the basic head hugger beanie pattern that I definitely know how to do. Oh yea....I wrote you about that!
I'll spruce it up w/ a flower or maybe a different edging. Not sure yet. Thanks for the well wishes! I'll need them when I get ready to try the new pattern again.

That is sooo adorable!!!! I put up what I call "My Nature X-mas Tree" in the foyer and that could be the cutes addition to it. I started out trying to use only natural items, but have added cute little birds & animal ornaments over the years. Did you crochet one yet?
That is adorable!!! Looks like a modern day version of the doilies my Nanny use to made. I haven't tried the small thread intricate style crocheting yet. Thanks for sharing!!!! We love to see pics of projects on this thread!
