Crochet "Chat"

If you get enough interest in the Choose Hope swap, I am definitely in!!

I'm thinking if we had 16 people participate, I'd get 16 different beautiful squares. There r 26 different cancer color ribbons. So I would make 10 more plain colored squares to place randomly through the project. Then crochet the correct 26 colored ribbons and stitch one onto each square. How awesome would that look at your local Cancer Center or Cancer Floor of your hospital, hanging on the wall for patients to see that people all around the country are thinking of them and Choose Hope??
I was thinking you could use plum color to join them since the plum color is for the caregivers.

I'd like to participate. I don't have a lot of extra money for shipping though. if you might need someone to host or do the receiving/shipping i would be glad to since I don't have a whole lot going on in the crafting department right now.

That would be awesome for you to host, I really wasn't wanting to host this time. Either swaps would be okay w/ me the cancer ribbon colors or if the group wants to do a more set color theme.

Yes generally the host posts a new thread explaining the details of the swap and the deadlines etc.... then people sign up on that thread and all compare notes post pics of progress and generally encourage each other to keep at it. Everyone sends all their blocks w/ return postage to the host, (s)he (that was for you Rancher! lol) sorts them out divides them up and sends them back to each person in the swap.

It is a lot of fun and a lot of work for the host. When I've recieved blocks some have been so cool I've reverse engineered them (when I was the hostess seeing all the blocks first)

I have to say I have reversed engineered several swappers block including Bleenie, she does good work.

Thank you Kass, I appreciate the compliment!

So if no one minds, I will go ahead and start up a new thread tomorrow for a "Ribbons of Hope" Granny Square Swap?
I very much enjoy participating in the swaps so don't mind the work of sorting/mailing if that's what I gotta do to be part!
