Crochet "Chat"

Hellooooooooo! LOL. Well, I can't believe that I was the last to post here, but I must say something: Never do an impromptu puff stitch on a tote bag that does not call for it unless you want your tote bag to take an entirely new turn! See what happened to my "rectangular" tote. I call this my "Sundress Tote". You can see why.

It actually makes a great looking tote! Love the idea!

My mom wants a scarf with polka dots on it. Not raised puffs, not star shapes... polka dots.
Here is the scarf I'm making with the yarn she chose. Any idea how to make polka dots??

The only suggestion I would have is to a) embroider them on with either slip stitches or sc, or b) crochet circles and sew/stich them on.

My current project is another one of my fusion blankets. I am using the crocheted flower squares from a swap, and using the blue/yellow quilted blocks from a different swap.

I have looked at a few different ones, and I think I am going to go with a simple circle and sew it on. She doesn't want it like a popcorn stitch. We shall see how it looks............

I made a minion helmet cover for my dad's ski helmet last week. He works with the adaptive ski program kids and he thought they'd get a kick out of it. Well they did and now I'm make two more for other ski program teachers.

Hi everyone. I haven't been on in a long while because my 13 year old computer died. I have a new one up and running now and it feels good to be able to look up favorite places. I just finished a baby blanket for a great grandson due in June. I got to use baby blue which I haven't used in a long while since all my grandbabies and greats have been girls. I've also started two tablecloths for two daughters for Christmas this year.

Hi crocheters! I haven't been on here since summer, as I haven't touched a hook since then. I've made a few things before then like a purse, scarves, beanies, but just taught myself to crochet last year, so I'm far from experienced. I am looking for just the right pattern, that I would be capable of making.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago. They have already removed the mass and done testing on it. Her cancer doc says it is the most aggressive tumor she has ever seen. So they are starting a very aggressive round of Chemo therapy on Monday. Of course, she will lose all of her hair. She says she refuses to wear a wig, & will just be wearing hats all of the time.
I want to make her just the perfect hat that will be cute, & stylish. It'll have to be light and somewhat airy, because she lives in Arizona (36 hours away from me) :(, but not show too much of her baldness through it. I have purchased pink camo yarn, since she will be "going into battle", for the biggest fight of her life!! Any suggestions???
