Crochet "Chat"

Thank you artsyrobin! Fun to do inbetween serious projects like hats and mitts LOL!
Hope jury duty is over with quickly.
back from jury orientation- looks like 3 weeks calling in every day to see if i am needed- so it won't be back to back days, thank God! I was really stressed over that, crocheting was no problem, i took wooden hooks- i was also surprised to have the whole court say the Pledge of Allegiance, with all the political correctness in this country- it was a pleasant surprise- crocheting has helped with my arthritic hands- being an artist, i can't let my hands get stiff- crocheting helps- when i was little i begged my grandma to teach me, she stalled for a long time- said she couldn't read directions cause she crocheted 'german style' not sure what that is, she finally relented- and no i can't figure out directions either..

Hello all! I'm new to this thread. Not new to the crochet world, but had been on an extended break.
Recently I decided I needed some fresh props for newborns and children and being that I'm fairly broke- figured I should break out the crochet needles and crafting skills. : )

That's a tie-back I made for a friend. See, I started out just making props and got so wild that I'm now making everyone a gift. ;)
The grey is a newborn backdrop I'm making. Simple solid grey- I can't wait to use it. I'm about half way done. Probably 2 more skiens of yarn.

Here are some simple small newborn headbands.
I also made little boy newborn bow-ties out of the same bow pattern.

I would LOVE to see some favorite patterns or pattern sites. I haven't crocheted in so long, but it's like getting back on a bicycle. : D

Oh! And I forgot to mention that I went yarn buying crazy on ebay late last night. I ended up spending $16ish and now have about 12 different skeins of yarn headed to me.

Where do you all like to buy yarn?

The animals are amigurumi crochet except for the white and the pink lambs. Granny square throw is 4'x4'.

You are so creative! I've seen the patterns for the animals, but have never tried them. You did such a great job- makes me want to try. : )

They're lots of fun and easy to do...try them! Thanks!

google 365 crochet flower project. It will lead you to a lady's blog w/ some pretty intimidating and awesome flower patterns. I've been looking at some of them for the flower block swap, don't know if I can actually do them and work them into a square, but they are awesome to look at anyway.

my gma taught me the basics but i don't know if she knew how to read patterns or not she died before she could teach me much so i have just taught my self the rest of what i know and i have are hard time reading patterns unless they are real simple
