Crochet "Chat"

My latest creation. I did a basic oval basket in double thickness worsted yarn and then took the tail, beak and comb patterns from the chicken purse pattern (modified a bit). Tastefully not photographed is the fact that the poor hen only has one wing. I couldn't find a pattern I liked so I "winged" it

and started with a circle, slowly building out. It was one of those "why write it down when I know I'll remember what I did" moments I am known for. Oh well, that side can face the wall.

love this!!! if you coud ever figure out a pattern I would love to have it.

There are numerous patterns online for wristers/fingerless gloves, but that one isn't really a pattern. A military wife named Melanie who goes by iheartstitching on youtube did one on making a simple set of wristers with half double crochets. I used her idea then added single crochet edging on three sides and a shell edge on top. At least, that's for this pair. I have done other types as well, but this one is super fast and easy with just a slit for the thumb rather than building up an actual thumb hole like these I did from a different pattern.








If you go to the yarn manufacturer sites, like Red Heart, Caron or Lion Brand, they have numerous patterns for different ones. Or just go to Allfreecrochet.com and they have lots of patterns for just about anything you want to make.
