Crochet "Chat"

Three rows down 4 to go and the border

Both sets of blocks (crocheted and pieced were from block swaps here on BYC) and some extras I made.

I found something purely by accident, you may already be aware, but I wasn't. For you guys who like rippled afghans, google ripple granny afghan.

I think the ripple granny is actually what I did with this aqua and gold lapghan, isn't it?

Yes it is. Some of the ones pictured in the google search actually used granny squares on point in a row as the base for the ripple afghan, so you would have one or more rows of grannies in between your granny ripples, it looked way cool.

Just real quick. I just came home from Hooches' a junk/antique type store with a box of old 1910 or in that range of Farm and Home newspapers. I noticed there were crochet patterns in the back. I'll share once I get to go through them if anyone is interested. They're quite fragile so I'll have to lay them on the table and turn them slowly.
