Crochet "Chat"

I really love all of the leaves! I wish I was not knee deep in baby projects so I could make a few. I'd even like to use them for coasters or potholders.
Anyway, I'm still plugging away at the star baby blanket. It's super easy to follow which is starting to get boring. Trying to keep interested until it's a size I am happy with. But I took a break to whip up a diaper cover. It's so darn cute. Just have to find a button for the adjustable waste.

Might have to go for a matching hat and booties! What a great gift! I wish I had more friends like me ;)

I have a star baby blanket that I started last winter. Ugh! It IS boring after awhile so I just can't get myself to pick it up and finish it. I had so many cousins having babies and I sent them all baby blankets (all different designs). I'm starting to feel bad that 2 of them haven't received theirs yet because I can't get past this star blanket!

I totally understand! I decided one more round is the perfect size blanket! LOL

Anyone else doing the Yarnspirations Mystery Adventure Scarf Crochet Along? I've never done a CAL before, but this one is lots of fun to me. You get a new clue each week for 6 weeks and you get to pick from 3 different motifs each week. Everyone's scarf will be unique!

I had not heard about it, I went and looked at the site and I don't understand?

Here is the FAQ website.

http://www.yarnspirations.com/kal-cal-faq

And there is a forum you can look around in for more info, too.

What happens when you sign up is they will email you a clue each week for 6 weeks (the first 2 clues have been emailed out already, but you can find them on your website or I posted a link here). Each "clue" is another section of your scarf. The mystery adventure part of it is that each clue had 3 different options. For example, Clue #1 you pick one of the three stitches: (sc/dc rows, dc ch combo stitch, arches stitch). Then, for Clue #2, there are 3 new stitches to choose from to sew to your first clue (granny square, flower square, lazy wheel).

In the end, your scarf will have six sections sewn together.

Those links helped explain what they were talking about. So what patterns did you choose for steps 1 and 2? Are you making the scarf for yourself or someone else?

I liked the 3rd pattern in the 2nd week group. I thought of using it for the back of my underground railroad fusion blanket for the crocheted "wagon wheel" block of the set.

That is really very pretty. Are you going to make knit or crochet booties. If knitted I know where there's a nice pattern. Kind of looks like the shorts there. I made the knit ones and they are quite easy.
