Glad Maw's hubby found a job.
And hi everyone I havn't been around cause I went with DD and her best friend to a face painting convention in Conn. and we brought Moose of course. He was an angel the whole time. The best friend Nan has been a part of the family since the girls were 15. I always refer to both of them as my girls. So Nan discovered she had a hidden talent this weekend she's really good at balloon art. So the DD and her are going to do B-day parties and fairs. And I discovered I better stick to canvas cause I have no talent in painting on skin.

Thanks for the well wishes, not sure how today's gonna go. They are saying 60+mph winds, so Alyssa's home again (asthma) and I'm either draggin my own health down with worrying, or I'm catching something I dont want.

Skand: Get you some vitamin C and keep your immune system up. I can't tell you to stop worring because I know that is impossible. I know that "sick" feeling. Hope your family gets healthy soon. It's really windy here also. Blew all my stuff all over yesterday!

As we speak, we've sold 14 of our hens. Four of my buff orps, 2 of my 'golden girls, fuzzy foot and goldie' All 3 RIR girls, Caydence's Treela, little red, and riding hood. All our black astralorps, the last leghorn hen, both brahmas.
We think we might be able to take popcorn and 'yssa hen if we do it right. We figured, if we can sell some of our extras, and save all pennies, cash the cans, we can raise enough ($4,000 gas and rental) to move all the furniture, and the van. We'll rent a 26' u-hauly thing, with a trailor, to haul the van. Then I can load the van to capacity, and that give a lil more room for the birds. We got to stop for gas and potty breaks (there are 3 girls) so I can check the birds, water feed, right ventilation etc. And the more room in the truck makes it to where it can be a bigger box/crate for birds!

It will be easier for us, his ex (his 21 year old son's mom) and her DH are having a horrible financial time. They own 3 properties, and well, we all know how the economy is doing. So, for the price of us moving, we'll have a 'camp' to live in. A camp for us 'non-yankees'- is a cabin on some property. lol
We started our chicken business with a rooster and his girl, so we will be RE-starting it with the same. It's only fitting, ya know, this rooster is a one man show. And with anyone else, they will kill him in a week. He doesnt like anyone but Jim. He only deals with people when he has to, and he chooses Not to deal with me! lol Besides, we will miss our alarm clock and fresh eggs! It just aint right without the noise.

O wow good you are keeping him then. My sister lives in Maine. Awe man are you gonna get a culture shock.

She lives near Albione which I think is about an hour from Portland, dont know which way. It snows there more than Wisconsin.

I bet you will learn to love it though.

Culture shock for sure, not for Jim. What does he think about moving back home? Now I can't complain about how cold it is here to ya! You can make a home anywhere. YOu are that type of person. Best of luck to ya!

Everything will work out. I don't want to leave my home but I think Hubby has got the state trooper job I was talking about. They are in the final stages but I'm not gettin hopes up yet. No more factory job~
