Crochet "Chat"

I agree Sk, we moved 7 times in 9 years living in the KC area.

And Ya learn to make a master Plan out of it.

Me,, I packed by room, Labeled each Box per room and numbered the boxes and had a master content list for all. Listed things in general didn't do all the little bitty items. This way everyone knew where these boxes needed to go at the new place. And I made sure that I had that list in my purse and a copy in my glovebox of my car.

So far, running through my head on packing, other then that it needs to be done...NOW! is..
packing what goes into storage. Go through everything, see what is important, what's going to a) trash b) someone else c) donate
d) garage sale.
Pack what is going to trailor. Get trailor cleaned out, pack up what belongs to Bruce.
Get Jim off my back with packing, going through, cleaning house, fixing dinner, washing clothes.. etc etc

For a pattern to thoes booties (which are Real CUTE!) you might try putting heriloom crocheet booties in google & see if you can find it that way. I use to have a booklet that had some in it, that looked almost like that....now if only I could think of the name of the booklet or publisher.....hhmmmm...

I belive it is just that...instead of sc in the next stitch over, you go 3 rounds or rows down & insert your hook there, yarn over & Drag the stitch up to the top where your last stitch ended & finish the sc. Are you confused?? Hope not, but just in case...here

yup i think you count rows below the stitch you are going to work in and single crochet loosely so its long....make sense???

No not really

I guess I don't know what I'm going to work in. Just make a spot in the row down 3.

LOL!!! I really never have crocheted anything purple before but my daughter told me this was her college roomate's favorite color so I am using the bernat softee chunky too purple and I forgot the veriagated color but it's purple and white. Okie...the pattern is modeled after that pink and green baby afghan I slobbered over last summer in the herrschner's catalog with the ruffled edges, finally figured out how they did that!! I am chaining 22 across and then back and forth with 20 hdc's until I have 8 rows then do a round of dc around the entire square then follow that with a row of shell (1dc ch2 1dc) in each dc, all the way around. Then with a plastic crochet needle, sew it together around the posts of the dc row, that makes the ruffle stick up...easy peasy..couldn't easier really...if you don't use the softee chunky yarn, you will need to do more rows as this yarn is pretty fat....could also be why it stands up so well too, not sure about that if a lighter weight yarn would make as nice a ruffle..this is the only one I've tried this with. I have so many other projects going on and other things that tempt me, I hope I can get it done before she forgets she wanted it, lol! We are gearing up for our new race season too, first practive in two weeks so there goes my saturdays...but, I can take squares to the track with me so I can carry it along and at least get all those done..see the stacks of squares I already did in that picture? It was after doing those that I thought about adding the ruffle to join them...otherwise I would have added the dc and shell when I made the squares, now I have about 10 squares to add those rows to. I hook them together to block them the same size...works very nicely to do that too if ya'll have trouble with your work being the EXACT same size..hook it together somehow for a while, it "blocks" it, like a dry cleaner would and makes them all shaped better..and shaped the same. It's easy Okie, give it a whirl...
