My doctor told me the same thing. Dehydration can bring on labor. And since it is summer, definitely need to fill that water hump. wink (think camel)
Good luck. Have her keep a water bottle at her side at all times and if she can't gulp a lot down at once, just make sure she drinks at least 32 ounces throughout the day (that's the 8 cups a day people recommend).
Sage advice! I would like to add that is at least, what she should be drinking. I was dehydrated so easily that I ended up drinking up to and sometimes exceeding 64 oz!!!
A good rule of thumb that I was told, is that if you are thirsty, you are dehydrated, so as soon as you feel thirsty you should drink some water immediately if you are pregnant, older, out in the heat, or have some kind of health problems. Best thing is though, to nip it in the bud before it starts and STAY hydrated. I speak from experience
I kept the twins in the womb for a month longer just by drinking water!!!
I went to the OB yesterday.
We decided that it would be safer for to go ahead and deliver the baby c-section due to how large we think it may be, and due to my gest diabetes. So here we go!!!
Wed July 15th is the c section!!
