Crochet "Chat"

Jen, you need to change your title to Canning Fool...my gosh girl...you've been busy this summer!

As for the tomato sauce, I agree with SE (after all a big pot of sauce stays hot for a long time). At least it didn't go to waste...you didn't throw it away, you just cooked a special treat for your girls!

algopurple - Thank you... this summer was the 1st time I've ate them since being a kid and I did not like them as a kid, but love them now!

Kgee - Thank you... and that is soooo true! Between the canning and freezing I have lived in my kitchen this summer! I'm ready for a slow down...

Well, hope you at least through some noodles in with the sauce for your chickens, thats too funny when two of them go for the same noodle and run!!! MY DH loves pickled beets but they aren't on my top ten at all..very pretty in the jars though

Jen that harvest is great! Yet again too much rain here and my garden didn't do as well as it should. I did get some grean beans, beats, squash, tomatoes canned. My tomatoes didn't do very well but I did go raid my inlaws garden and can some of theirs.

Syd wanted a chicken cake so I got this made yesterday. I thought it was cute.

I'm not crocheting anything right now. I'm knitting hats for my grandchildren that live in WA. They're ribbed and I can make one in two evenings watching TV. My granddaughters is also ribbed but done in lavender. I might make some for the grandkids back in NC also. I'm also making a log cabin quilt when I can sit down at the sewing machine.

I love the chicken cake too! It is soooo cute!

I lucked upon a bunch of Lion Brand Lion Suede yarn at Big Lots last spring & have been dreaming of things to do with it. So far an afghan & a shawl. It's pretty yummy to work with.

Before that I was doing a bunch of thread crochet projects but the hands needed a break from the skinny stuff if ya know what I mean.

I have always wanted to work with that skinny stuff and did make a round doily kind of thing about 3 feet wide several years ago but pulled it out for some reason I can't remember now. Still have the yarn/string stuff. It is a purple/white verigated. Always thought it looked so pretty when people made things with that stuff.
Got any pictures of your "skinny work"? lol
