While I'm thinking about it, how would you go about attaching a crochet flower to a hair elastic (the type for ponytails)?

I bet using a yarn needle to sew the flower on the hair rubber band work work well. If you wanted to use thread, you could use a heavy duty needle to sew it. Oh yea, I think I saw something once that they crocheted all the way around the rubber band and added a flower. I'll see if I can find it and post the link. How is the purple baby blanket coming along?

How is the purple baby blanket coming along?

It's going great so far! I decided to do a v-stitch pattern with 195 stitches. The pattern suggested the ch be in multiples of 13, so I did 13x15, which equaled 195. I'm using the light purple Pound of Love yarn for it and it is very soft so far. I'll have to post a picture shortly.

As for the flower hair bows, I saw them on Etsy and thought how incredibly simple they would be to make for my little cousins for Christmas gifts. There's only 1 boy, so I'll have to think of something else for him.​

It sounds so lovely, soft & cuddly. I love the color purple. I think your little cousins will love the adorable crocheted flower hair rubber bands for x-mas. How old is the one boy?

SunnyDawn~ The crochet flower hair rubber bands are what greenfamilyfarm is making. I just found a link similar to her project. Aren't they just adorable. Makes me wish my DD was 2 yrs old again so I could put her hair in pigtails w/ them.

I started on the new pattern I wanted to try for the swap, but kept getting interrupted, so it may have to wait when I can have some down quiet time to myself.
