No sheep here, just a couple steers, hogs, horses and of course meat chickens, layer flock, ducks, geese, pea fowl, turkeys, guineas & honeybees.
It's less expensive for me to buy my fleece or prepared rovings than to keep a spinner's flock of sheep. If you saw my fiber room, you'd understand. I like having a wide variety of fleece from different sheep breeds to play with. There are plenty of fiber flocks around me, so I can support their habit of keeping sheep!
I had this vision of you running out and shearing a cute little sheep to spin when you ran out of yarn.
That's great there are many fiber farms in your area to feed each other's addiction!
We just have layers & a few turkeys. My DD added 3 Pekin ducks this spring to the menagerie. We started our first hive this spring and might inherit a few more from a retiring beekeeper in our community. Oh yea we also have 3 dogs & 2 cats.
