Crochet "Chat"

Pics?

I have a blanket I need to finish for my youngest granddaughter that has the ribbon trim close to the edge. It is a very cute border! I usually sew simple bows in each corner with the same ribbon. Now if I could just find the pattern book for the edging on this blanket I could finish it. It had a lacy heart "motif" edge that was crocheted in rounds but when you're done it looks almost like individual motifs have been joined together. I've used this pattern once before but can't remember how it went.

I'm sure the pattern will surface eventually.

Thanks everybody! I'll try to get a picture of it soon. I'm beat this afternoon. I worked my first full-day as a high school substitute since April! Not complaining at all since any work is great right now, but I just wish I had worn better shoes!

I love the photo with you and your German Shepherd. I have one also. She's 15 now and just as active as ever but she doesn't have much eyesight left. She's still the sweetest and most loving dog. I won't have her much longer as she's so advanced in age and it will break my heart to lose her but I will get another.

I also use to do sub. teaching and my DH taught school for 41 years and my youngest daughter is a teacher so I know how you feel those first few days of school.

Oh I'm so sorry your GSD isn't doing as well as she used to. It is amazing that she is still active though, at 15! Wow! We just went through this with our last dog and it is so hard to see them aging when we want to keep them around forever. My girl just passed a few months ago and she was 14. 15 is a very long life for a large breed dog.

I just love GSDs! They are the sweetest most intelligent dogs. I've never had one that wasn't simply amazing with kids! Mine will be so hyper with me when he first sees me (he's still a pup) but will settle down immediately when kids are around, being so gentle with them! Somehow he seems to know that they are fragile and that he needs to be careful.

I think you've described a GS to a T. I've always known them to be good around children. Mine is even now as she gets older. She was my second oldest son's dog. He got her as a pup and had her for several years and had to leave her with me off and on depending on where he was living and if he could have her. Then one day he asked me to keep her because she was happier with me and I had a big oak tree and lots of green grass. He was at work all day so she was alone. My son died seven years ago so she is very special to me. She moves like a younger dog and can hear just fine, she just can't see up close and walks into things. I used to breed and show GS's back in the 70"s but had to stop when we got transferred overseas but to me they are the best.

I'd love to see a picture of her!
Yes, I agree, to me as well they are the best dogs ever!

Oh brother, no matter what I do, that last sentence looks odd to me. Good thing I never taught english!
