How fun! You'll have to post a pic when you are finished. We are photo junkies in the crochet corner.

I saw another free pattern a few weeks ago, but it didn't pop up again. Hope it works out for you. I love greenfamilyfarms' pattern for the beard part. So cute! Have fun..

I needed a plant hanger today to put another plant upstairs in the bedroom. It's sooo dry, I'm trying everything.

It was my first time crocheting one, so I just whipped it up. Anyone have any photos of plant hangers they have made?

That is beautiful.!

What an adorable baby GreenFireFarms!!! I saw a (blue? columbian sussex roo and hen) at a swap in Wisconsin and the people said it came from greenfirefarms.

I have a cute little hen and roo crochet pattern with combs and wings and tails I could write out tomorrow if you are still interested. Got it in a magazine.

That's a pretty plant hanger. It looks so much more stable than the ones you can buy. Sometimes with those, the pot slips around and is lop-sided in the hanger. I like the nice wide, flat base and the extra support around the side. Nice!

Thank you, Woodland! It's far from perfect, but I dont mind.

I just saw that beard photo. LOL. Very cute. I should try one of those for the BF. Actually - my youngest sister would probably like one too!

Thank you for the compliments, everybody!

Just as a side note, we are Green Family Farms not Green Fire. Don't worry - it happens all the time. I sure wish I had the resources to import all of those gorgeous birds they do.

I'd really like to learn how to make granny squares so I can do an afghan. I should watch some Youtube videos. Does anyone like any particular pattern or would you suggest a particular type of square to start out with?

Edited to add:

I was just searching around the net for granny square stuff, and ran into this number . $298 for a crochet tree skirt?!?!!!

Could you imagine?!

Wow! I bet someone here could make that for a lot less.

You Tube should have some good tutorials for granny squares. Just start with a basic pattern and you should be good to go.

Wow ~ it is nicely done and made from wool though. That tree would not last long around here with 3 dogs (including 2 German Shedders) and 2 cats it would be covered in hair in no time!
