Thanks for the pattern Bleenie! Now which size hook should I use with worsted (4) yarn?

Bleenie-Thank you. I'll give it a try. I'm not good at following directions and when I make hats, I usually start with a pattern, then improvise when I get confused. This looks like I might actually be able to do it. I've just moved to Mt. Shasta, which has long, cold winters. I'm going to ask the seniors center whether they can use hats for the seniors who go there or to sell at fundraisers.

Bleenie-I am trying your pattern. It's coming out very small. What size hook do you recommend? I am using an H but think it needs to be bigger. Also, I've never done the FP & BP before, so I hope to learn something here. Meanwhile, I'm going to take it apart and try it with a larger hook.

i used one of those cricular loom knitter to make the little cap i posted i like them you can make a lot of caps real fast with them

I was thinking about getting one of those. My niece REALLY wants to "make stuff" everytime she comes over. She's only 4yrs old but they looked simple enough that i might be able to help her do it easily. she would be over the moon if she made a hat! lol
