Crocheters Thread

I made these scrunchies for a Galentines Party gift exchange! I love how some turned out… some… haha it’s a great project for using up scrap yarn.

I just ran out of a ball of white yarn (I have more but still) 4 stitches before a color change... :he I made like 18 whole rows with this ball but it just decides to run out right before I can switch back to green!

I think I have to take a break from crocheting! :( My arm/wrist are aching and I haven't touched a hook for 2 days. I think I need to take a long rest.

Should I try knitting in the meantime or would it agitate my arm just as much??

Knitting involves less wrist movement imo but it's definitely still strenuous so maybe not the best option. It would really depend on what you want to work up, what yarn you're using and what method you choose.

Yeah I should probably just take a break. I will miss the hobby for sure!!

As we used to say one place I worked, "It's the same, only different." probably would irritate the same tendons/muscles in your arm... but maybe less, maybe more, maybe just in a different way.

Very good point! Cotton yarn, for me, is MUCH harder to knit with and is a lot more stress on my hands/wrists. If I carry the yarn in my left hand versus my right hand, I'm using different muscles, and that can lead to giving the sore ones a rest, or making the new ones sore too.
