Aww I love all the cuties around her! I remember when we first did a broody hatch, our speckled sussex would come over and watch our hen with her chicks. I especially love that chicken on top of the bale on the cage!

lt’s a nice warm day and the babies are out and about. One even caught a tiny worm all on its own, I’m so proud

I haven’t really been home due to work... Today’s my first day off for the week, and actually being able to spend time with the chickens/chicks outside. We got the “remnants” of Ida’s wrath last night with lots of rain... ended up being quite chilly today.

the little ones are growing quick, little wings feathers are showing up!

I messaged the seller about sexing the chicks, and he said that the ones that look male may still be pullets, so I decided to hold on to the potential males for now... we’ll see!

chickies have entered what I dub the “butterfly stage”, the stage where they start fluttering everywhere

We have some little tails coming in too. There’s no way to even guess the genders on these as they’re all coming in at the same rate!

Hey great hatch did read the entire thread I am impressed with the leven you managed.. I bought eggs at Trader Joes a few days ago have them in the incubator but if any hatch I will sell them
