Crowing Roosters

I have 2 6 mos old Buff Orps that have not crowed yet. They were penned together but are now separated and there are no other senior roos preventing them from crowing so I don't know why they don't. They make all kinds of other noises so I know nothings wrong with thier voicebox or whatever. They don't even try to crow lol. They have plenty of hormones too. One tries to mate everything in sight including the dog and he mated one of the hens when he was only 4 weeks old, totally knew what he was doing too, the little pervo!

Shamos, Thailand Gamefowl, Malays, Asil, Ga Noi. They're all relatively rare, and of course the boys would need to be separated (or just only keep one) but the more common breeds are Asil and Shamos.

And also Burmese, Brazilian, Taiwan (don't believe we have them in the US, though I could be wrong. They're in tight circles if they're here), HintHoroz, Saipan junglefowl are a form but tend to be aggressive towards people, Tuzo, and some people classify the Cubalaya as a Oriental game.. But they do have production breeds in them too, so they may crow more. Not sure on that, you could ask Cuban Longtails.

Those more exotic and wildy breeds, it is not in their interest to crow like fools all the time. And the egg song from hens too, I don't understand why telegraph to all predators "here I am nice and vulnerabul while I'm busy!"

Ahhh, but the egg song is AFTER the egg is laid, and helps the hen locate where her flock has wandered to.

Very well then.

I was thinking of mentioning Brazilian, Tuzo, and Saipan - But those are even more hard to find than the rest.

Also, I always thought of Brazilian as a cross of american and oriental, but honestly I don't know much about the breed other than its looks and the fact that is carries the dun allele.

Never thought of Cubalayas as Oriental Gamefowl, honestly. They're kind of like Sumatras in my opinion.
