Cubalaya Thread For Sharing Pics and Discussing Our Birds

There is a smaller black and a white that are from my 3 y.o. white cock. Then there's 2 with wheaten type fathered by the 1/4 Thai and a wheaten cuba hen, one probably normal wheaten, the other with pure white down (suspect male). The red brown chick is fathered by the same Thai/cuba cockerel, but is out of a Jap hen.

Yes, 1/8 Thai.

I am seeing the same with my 7/8 cubalaya 1/8 thai. also wing growth is slow. my pure cubalaya chicks grow wing feathers fast except the gold duckwings
I don't think very many cubalaya breeders sell hatching eggs. I usually bring one dozen to the gilmanor swap in glenn allen, va. and that's about it. they are sold for $24 dollars a dozen. I sell eggs to eat for $3 a dozen when I have some. I did let woodsandfeathers have a few last summer and Stanley, the guy who bought my brown red.

Maybe it's the cold but these guys have grown their wing feathers in really fast. The only one that hasn't is the brown red.
