So I got this hen a month ago and I haven’t questioned if she was a hen until last week... she is about 5 months old and I noticed her tail feathers seem to be curling.. she’s supposed to be a bantam and is getting really tall and standing up tall a lot. I haven’t had a young hen in awhile so just couldn’t remember the phases they went thru when they fill out. What do you guys think?

I have her in with another rooster and there hasn’t been any issues... she’s actually been fighting with one of my hens... maybe not old enough to fight with the roo yet?

Cockerel.
They won't necessarily fight with each other is the other cockerel is older or they already established pecking order when they were growing up if raised together. The younger ones know when to try to take the flock and when to just wait it out.

I literally have the absolute worst luck. It’s like I have a rooster curse. One of my hens even decided to grow spurs at a year old when I got her lol. Must be something in the water
