Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I have never dealt with it before. And I didn't see any critters on Mad. But DH did, so treat we will. I looked Mad over really well and treated him all over. It will be a busy late evening for us. Both coops are treated.

I haven't checked Surly Girl or Lucy 2. They have not interacted with the other chickens at all. I may check them over tomorrow, but this is enough to deal with today.

The good news is, all my chickens are looking and acting healthy, except for Queen Bee, who has not ever gotten back to herself. She is eating and drinking, but mostly hanging out by herself these days.

And thanks for all your supportive words.
Ugh, I have been treating bugs too. Just sprayed the coop the second time. I only saw bugs on 2 birds, but I treated all of them. Then I took the two in the barn so I will keep them there until they are bugles. No other birds in the barn.

It's a challenge. So far, only have seen the two bugs on Mad and he lives separately. He will no longer free range with the others. In a couple hours when they go into their coop we'll go out and check the others. I did check one and saw nothing. Did I say that already? LOL think I'm repeating myself now.

It is just terrifying to find a bug on a bird!!! :barnie

I looked everyone over really well tonight and sprayed them all. Coops already sprayed earlier. I think I saw a mite on Pippi, not sure. Anyway, we will repeat in a week, and I'm just happy to have not found some sort of big infestation in my flock.

Only a tiny bit relieved. Will be diligent about this.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Good morning everyone, here's hoping for a bug-free, stress-free Sunday!

Coffee and tea are ready for anyone that wants/needs it

Good morning, Debby! Thanks for the coffee. Just up to take a cough drop actually, and then turn over and go back to sleep. Should have been wearing a mask when I was spraying coops and chickens.

A bug free day would be wonderful! But, today I will at least check Surly girl and Lucy 2 over. They are completely separate from the others, so I doubt they have anything on them, but I have to know for sure.

Good morning everyone!

Thanks for the coffee, Debby! :drool

Coolish morning here, 67°F. High humidity, cloudy but the sun is starting to 'burn' off the low clouds.

Setting more eggs today...other than that, a 'ho hum' Sunday!

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
