My Dad used to make elderberry wine.

I like elderberry tea and buying the dried elderberries is expensive. So I decided to plant them myself. I got the male and female plant together, so I should get a good yield, perhaps next year.

Actually, I just went out to check on the garden. I do have one little cluster of elderberries coming in. They are still very tiny and green, but how exciting to have my first crop during the first year. Looks like enough to make a cup or two of tea.

What we have an abundance of this year is blueberries. Oh my goodness. And they are in the chicken run, so guess who gets treated to blueberries every day.

And I just picked a handful of green beans. These little bush beans just keep producing.

I will be glad when temperatures come down 20° or so. So much to do.
