I don't believe I made it through the first film let alone a second. I am glad you enjoyed it but I found it quite boringHello movie goers! I went to see the new Downton Abbey film with my aunty and we liked it much more than the previous one. Various story lines were concluded and it wasn't as self-concious as the first film. Some of the makeup choices were a little odd, Hugh Bonneville had a rather deep tan which was well out of character and they didn't cover it up.
Thumbs up!
I have never watched Downton AbbeyThat's exactly what me and my husband thought about Batman! Thanks for the reviews! I liked Lost City but was a bit bored with the new Batman movie. I look forward to the new Fantastic beasts movie-- it will likely be on HBO on or about May 31st.

Honestly I'm kinda sick of superhero movies. I wish they'd make more buddy comediesThanks for the reviews! I liked Lost City but was a bit bored with the new Batman movie. I look forward to the new Fantastic beasts movie-- it will likely be on HBO on or about May 31st.

Loved "Dog." We have had a couple of "problem" dog rescues foisted on us over the years. The addage is true: "All you need is love" (and A LOT of patience.) Eventually the lightbulb goes on and things in the relationship get tenable and copacetic, but sometimes it's a long hard road to slog.... as it was for the movie where both had to overcome some pretty damning obstacles. It sort of felt like being there, which the sign of a well-made movie.
Thanks for the reviews! They both look like good moviesDH and I watched "Uncharted" the other night. One thing we do during films is try to identify where they were filmed by landmarks, vegetation, topography. The scenes in Spain were obvious. But imagine our surprise to find that the rest of the movie was filmed via green screen in GERMANY. The Phillipine location shots were all pasted together from stock footage as there was an extreme lockdown in the country due to Covid at the time of filming.
Fun facts:
(1) "Uncharted" was banned in China due to the fact that the map misallocated boundaries and several countries took offense. The scenes showing the map details were SO brief that it couldn't even register. Who knew?
(2) [spoiler alert] The scene with the conversation on the beach between Tom Holland and the guy on the chaise had us going "Who was THAT guy?" It turns out he was the voice of Nate in the animated version of "Uncharted."
