Yep. There is now a new rule.

NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE 12 ALLOWED ANYWHERE WITHIN 100 FEET OF THE BROODER!!!!!!

I'm gonna paint it in big red letters on my shirt.

*mournful sigh*

I should either start takingin every single sick baby chick I see this year, or learn how to hold myself back

I accidentally grabbed a blind baby out of the bottom of the brooder today. She would have died then if I hadn't. But anyways, I'm pretty sure she was blind, possibly deaf (she peeped LOUD), and I think she was serverely dehydrated. She got to hide in my sister's sleeve almost all day, so she had a better life than even some of our current chickens get/got!

She fought so hard

Her name was Beth - now to go look it up and see what it means...

Origin of the name Beth:

Originally a short form of Elizabeth (God is my oath) and Bethany (house of figs), Beth is popularly bestowed as an independent given name and as a name element in compound names such as Mary-Beth or Laura-Beth.

I will be using that name again - over and over and over again.
